We are working to change the direction of industry (and consumerism) that more is not always better.
And while less can be more in many cases, one must not get preoccupied with this concept to the point
of thinking that it is always the case or that none is best. By and large, there is very little relevance
placed on genuine value and real-life practical applications today.
The nineties gave us too much of a good thing and far too many people still possess the unquenchable desires
and lack of mature thinking from that era. Families got smaller, but homes got bigger. And even with homes
getting bigger, there still wasn’t enough garage room, so to help house our desires, mini-storage units popped
up like dandelions in a spring lawn.
It seems all too many consumers look at the two extreme ends in the world of buying; either they want the
very top end of products (for bragging, to say they have the best) or the very bottom end (spending the least
per item to try to get the most cumulative items). What many fail to realize is that value should be the primary
focus viewed from either standpoint, but most have lost touch with this because it has gotten buried by greed on both ends.
“It’s not the dollars… it’s the sense” is not just a catch phrase, it’s a way of living life. We try not to skimp
on anything, but rather to get the most out of everything – keeping a mindset for finding the crossover point with
the greatest returns on every investment, whatever that may be. It’s about being smart with all ventures of time,
money, labor, etc. and proper utilization of the resources at hand. Ultimately, it’s not about getting by with less, but rather to get more from what you have.
E-FISH-NC Outdoors
is here to reveal that we can still have it all without trying to buy or possess everything.
We just need to take a step back (from our self-indulgent, lusting for instant gratification, nature) and become
willing to put more thought and more of ourselves into what we do. When we can hold to this, not only does gratification
naturally come to the surface, but life as a whole has more meaning because value is once again placed on things that were
previously viewed as insignificant.
Our show was not a brainchild for a specific advertisement niche (although it has become this to some extent), but instead the
real focus was to change a way of thinking in just about all of society.
Although there are plenty of other programs in the outdoor field, there are none that cater either to the principle of efficiency
(E-FISH-NC) or to doing things solo. With host David Mikrut,
E-FISH-NC Outdoors spotlights innovative methods and products throughout
the outdoor arena, plus real life endeavors that show true devotion to the various pursuits. He shows just what it takes to make it
all come together with maximum efficiency. Along with that, Dave hosts friends and guests that embrace many of these same ideals on
a variety of outdoor adventures.

The tips typically posted can be utilized by either groups or individuals, but the discerning measure is individual
use. Most of us get more pleasure pursuing our outdoor endeavors with others, but that is not always possible for many.
Those truly passionate about outdoors will continue on alone - just to be a part of it. Our tips focus on these people
because, at times, we have been one of these people.
The tips we post on the website must meet
E-FISH-NC Outdoors' standards. All candidates are carefully reviewed and

Posted tips have made it into our personal bag of tricks. They have dictated change in how we pursue the outdoors
and we use them regularly in the given season.

The various products we have listed follow suit with the tips because they also have changed the way we pursue the outdoors.
Things were initially compared chiefly on a monetary scale until later, when we began to realize that cheap, sometimes,
really means cheap. So, what started out as a desire to do everything better for less (financially), became an issue of longevity
and value. And then considerations of time and effort were factored in as well. As we got deeper into our passions, the E-FISH-NC
principles started to shine through and we arrived at our current destination.
Constant tinkering with products we already had, learning what we liked and what we didn’t like in various methodologies, and
trying to fill voids where no products were available also became foundations for E-FISH-NC. Refinement continues through our
own trial and error, along with input from other “dirt under the fingernails” types, to hopefully get ever closer to the mark
of a true and logical value. The aspiration to do everything with greater efficiency has led us to analyze everything we come
into contact with and it keeps us traveling down this road.

Among other things, we’re trying to provide a consumer advocacy for outdoor products and services. We have been blessed to
have the vision we do; and it has been our good fortune to form relationships with some companies that share our vision.
However, just because we endorse a company doesn’t necessarily mean that there is blanket approval on all they provide.
Conversely, if we really like a certain product or products doesn’t translate to mean that we approve of the company.
And, if we don’t endorse a product, that does not mean it doesn’t work; it just may not render into a proper efficiency ratio
of output/input. Virtually all products functionally work as they are supposed to, however practicality is the biggest issue
that we look at when deciding whether or not something is truly “all it’s cracked up to be”.
Although time consuming and sometimes tedious, we find field-testing and scrutinizing various products to be very gratifying
because we know the research we do will be the best filter available to eliminate bean soup, balogna sandwiches and just about
any other B.S. various marketing departments try to feed the public. We plan to be the catch all and end all… the final word on
products and services that are truly beneficial in a world of marginal necessity.
